ABOUT THE ARTIST

[No label can merely embody how crazy or fabulous they are.]

It sounds like a calm, swaying plain of savanna, with a tree bearing beautiful daubs of cerise and saffron flowers. They embraced it. Two loving folks have dubbed him Yanyań— a whimsical kid of Filipino descent, who was born on a sweet summer day of April 1997. As a child, he was exposed to literature and cultural art, creating a threshold for his playful interests and visions.

He started flaring in clay art at the age of five. He's been free-spirited and pensive ever since. His introversion is rooted in a childhood clumsiness. But through the years, he has learned to accept a variety of people and his self, thereby embracing different worlds. From 2011 to 2013, he joined a theater society called Teatro Lumad Malaya. Thus taught him different roles and performances on stage; delivering colours to spectators. He's been the chief editor of their high school paper and later was awarded as Writer of the Year. These opportunities have led to their passion for Literary, Visual, and Performing Arts.

Ang kabataan nito ay binubuo ng mabagal na pagkilos, mahinang sentido kumon, at makulay na haraya.

He took a Bachelor of Fine Arts to thrive in his passion. He became a subsequent participant in different social pursuits, particularly in Journalism, where it has played a big part in his life work.

Yanyań spent their life digging inspirations upon beautiful scenes of nature, depressing novels, and liberating stories. Profound and eclectic in its essence, Yanyań is a harmony-seeking idealist, an artist, and a crazy writer whose world is in progress through its enthusiasm to explore. They love to connect with wildlife and other unseen beings influencing its works. Yanyań is also passionate about making art in the form of handicrafts, illustrations, styling, slogans, and anti-label poetry.

Yanyań daresay to had lived during the Post-Renaissance, with highly ornamental outfits, grumpy cats, and other enchanting wild flora and fauna.

In layout and design, they love to incorporate some Dada principles where clean negative spaces and chaotic elements merge together to create confusion. They explore an organic form with a pale yet full-colored palette to evoke a psychedelic feeling.

Siya yung literal na timawang nagkakalat sa lansangan— damang dama ang kagandahan, minsan kapangitan— at laging lutang dahil mahilig mag-ilusyon. Pangarap niyang makalipad tulad ng maligayang saranggola.
